Recently my girlfriend made me a delicious breakfast smoothie. She prepared it the night before by blending the ingredients together, put cling film over the glasses and left in the fridge overnight.

I couldn’t help but think, what an amazing way to enjoy your breakfast. A smoothie is quick and saves you valuable morning time.

The different types of smoothies that you can create are pretty much infinite. As you can blend anything. However there are certain ingredients that you can add that will most certainly promote fat loss and supply you with valuable nutrition to get your day off to a great start.

Here’s a few ideas of delicious breakfast smoothies that you can prepare.

pb smoothie

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie – 4 servings @ 335 calories: 2 sliced bananas, 2 cups of milk, 1/2 cup peanut butter, 2 tablespoons honey, 2 cups of ice.

To make this recipe super healthy try using low fat/ almond milk and organic natural peanut butter. The peanut butter will provide you with healthy fats and protein. A healthy breakfast that will keep hunger pangs away for a long time.

avocado smoothie

Avocado Smoothie – 2 servings @ 370 calories: 1 ripe avocado halved and pitted, 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt, 3 table spoons honey, 8 ice cubes.

If you think 3 tablespoons of honey is a bit too much sugar, try adding sweeteners as a substitute. It won’t be as tasty, however it would be more healthy.

str ban smoothie

Strawberry and Banana Smoothie  – 2 servings @ 258 calories: 2 sliced bananas, 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt, 10 ice cubes.

This smoothie is the one with the lowest calories, however it does lack in healthy fats and protein. If you have a high protein diet, throw in 1 scoop of protein mix to top you up.

Now you have  3 different flavours to try out. Once prepared, smoothies will typically store for a few days, making it ideal for batch production. You could make 2 batches a week, then that’s all of you breakfast production sorted.
